Dublin City Marathon '08.

Eep, well I'm in. My registration is complete, no more faffing about.
Anyone else running this year? Anyone doing it for the first time? Anyone considering it? Docky james? What say you?
Training in earnest starts next week, let the running commence.

The closest I'll ever get to a marathon again is a Snickers.

Did a 7 mile relay in the belfast marathon, so thought i'd go the next step up before I try for a full one.
Good luck to ya!

Oh, it would be lovely to come to Dublin and spend a couple hundred dollars for the privilege of running around town for a day, but 10k is where I top out this year. Maybe a half next year, and then in my mid-thirties we can start talking full marathon.

Not to change the subject, but I have an assortment of bodily ills right now--stiff back, sinuses completely stuffed, general aches and pains--that have kept me from doing anything but a little biking this week. Please tell me I'm not going to lose all those miles I've worked up to so diligently in the past several weeks. D-day is May 31.

:don nods sagely:

you can probably come close to that 4:40 just by not going shopping in the middle of the race.

Good morning Miss Cat,

When you hurt your groin you said it took ages to mend, I am still hobbeling round here, would that be right? There will be no marathon at this rate, walking is agony.

Muncho thank yoo's

it took a while all right but not longer than a few weeks. You might need to get that checked out if it's still sore.

Yesterday, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and tested
to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views.
I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
